Camfil, a Sweden-based global leader in air filtration and clean air solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Global Cynax, appointing the firm as its official business channel partner in Bangladesh. The collaboration will focus on promoting and distributing Camfil’s advanced filtration systems, particularly for gas turbines in power plants, while expanding into sectors such as healthcare, food & beverage, chemical, hospitality, and commercial infrastructure.
Global Expansion Meets Local Expertise
With 30 manufacturing plants across Europe and Asia, including facilities in Sweden, India, Malaysia, and China, Camfil brings decades of expertise in industrial filtration. Its products are widely used in critical applications, from gas turbine filtration in power plants to air cleaner & purification systems for residential comfort. The partnership with Global Cynax marks Camfil’s latest move to strengthen its footprint in South Asia, leveraging Bangladesh’s rapidly growing development in industrial sectors.
High-Level Delegation Finalizes Strategic Roadmap
A delegation from Camfil’s India operations, led by Mr. Rahul Kapoor, Managing Director of Filters, and Mr. Tirumal Pitta, Segment Head for Power System After Market, recently visited Global Cynax’s office in Dhaka. They met with Global Cynax’s directors, Mr. Mohammad Arif Hossain and Mr. Mohammad Sharif Hossain, to formalize plans for market entry. Discussions emphasized the need of quality filters for high-efficiency gas turbines in Bangladesh’s power sector, which faces challenges related to air quality and equipment longevity.
“Bangladesh’s energy demands are surging, and Camfil’s cutting-edge filtration technology will ensure operational efficiency and environmental compliance for power plants,” stated Mr. Kapoor. Mr. Pitta added, “Camfil solutions not only protect turbines from harmful particulates but also reduce downtime, a critical factor for the nation’s energy resilience.”
Beyond Power Plants: Diversifying Market Reach
While power plants remain the primary focus, the partnership will also expand Camfil’s advanced air filtration systems into Bangladesh’s chemical plants, food & beverage industries, hospitals, hotels, and commercial buildings. Additionally, Camfil’s air cleaners will be introduced to the office and residential sectors, providing effective solutions for indoor air pollution. These high-performance air cleaner systems are designed to improve air quality and safety, ensuring compliance with global health and environmental standards.
Launch Timeline and Future Prospects
The companies aim to officially launch Camfil’s products in Bangladesh by March 1, 2025, with full-scale distribution and technical support commencing thereafter. Global Cynax’s directors expressed confidence in meeting local demand, citing Camfil’s “proven reliability in over 100 countries.”
“This collaboration is a milestone for Global Cynax, said Mr. Arif Hossain. “We are poised to deliver solutions that address both operational efficiency and sustainability.”
As Bangladesh accelerates its infrastructure development, the Camfil-Global Cynax alliance is set to play a pivotal role in shaping cleaner, more efficient industrial practices across the region.
